Dear friends,

It gives me enormous pleasure to be a part of the Shivaji University Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Linkages (SCIIL). SCIIL is committed in developing future economic leaders and entrepreneurs who will empower their businesses and create product and service innovations in the emerging economies.

Incubators, accelerators, policy makers and other players in the start-up ecosystem play an important role in helping start-ups to grow competitively.  This incubation centre makes a holistic ecosystem to nurture innovative ideas to solve problems of society at the same time support ideas by providing guidance about intellectual property, seed funding, business planning and marketing through mentors and experts from the university and industries. Shivaji University Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Linkages is approved and supported by ‘Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS), Government of Maharashtra in 2018. To cater its objectives effectively and efficiently a dedicated section-8 company in the form of SUK Research and Development Foundation is registered under the companies Act, 2013.  SCIIl’s flagship initiatives like innovation meet, monthly innovation challenge and innovative lecture series (Start-up Sutra) will help to nurture innovation, start-up and entrepreneurial culture in the campus. Against this background, the SCIIL has been working extensively to strengthen the capacity of incubators in several aspects.  

I am confident that the startups, hosted by us, shall perform the best on technological, social, and economical front. SCIIL believe in the power of imagination, the adaptability of ideation and the dynamics of incubation to bring our vision to reality. I appeal students, faculty and potential enterprises to take innovation as challenge of 21st century and contribute to the country’s economic growth and employment.
