Vision :  The Centre of Nehru Studies endeavors to critically study social and political ideas of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in order to create just, Humane and egalitarian society.

Mission :     The Centre of Nehru Studies strives to create such citizen in society who contributes to the goal of to establishment of democratic, secular and socialist society in India thought the pursuit of critical study of political philosophy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Goals :                       

• To critically study Pandit Nehru’s ideas on nationalism and the Indian experiment of Nation Building
• To undertake teaching, research and extension programs to study modern Indian politics and political ideas of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
• To study the functioning of democratic institution in India including local self government institutions.
• To undertake research in the problems of rural development planning, land reforms and agricultural development.
• To analyze and study India’s foreign policy in the light of the perspective of Nehru.
• To educate the students about social and political ideas of Pandit Nehru.
• To create awareness among the students about basic values of liberty, equality and justice.
• The thrust areas of the Centre are-

1. Political Philosophy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
2. Nehru and development of democracy in India.
3. Nehru and International Politics.
