1. To provide qualified researchers with optimal access to anonymized microdata from the Census, enabling in-depth research through the generation of crosstabulations not published by the Census.

2. To provide access of the workstation facility to all researchers, including thosewho are not enrolled or part of the university, facilitating the broad use of Census microdata.

3. To enhance the utilization of Census data by enabling the generation of crosstabulations from confidential micro-data, this cannot be achieved using the publicly available aggregate-level data.

4. To promote in-depth studies that may contribute to improving the methodology of data collection during the Census and identify strengths and weaknesses in the microdata.
