The University Science Instrumentation Center (USIC) was started by University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1979. Mandate of this center was to provide in-house central facilities such as (a) repair and maintenance of scientific instruments (b) Analytical instruments facility and (c) conduct workshop and training program for the university departments and affiliated colleges students/technical staff. 

In repairs and maintenance section, initially this center started with four sections and has now grown to seven sections. These sections are Electrical, Electronics, Printer shop, Mechanical; Glass blowing, Air-conditioning and Carpentry.   Glass blowing section is one of the state of art facility available in western Maharashtra. We also provide AMC of printers and AC/Fridge to all university department and section.  

Glass blowing unit was one of the best facility in the Western Maharashtra, this facility was re initiated in February 2021. We urge industries, universities and academic institutes and colleges to use this facility.

This center conducts workshop cum hands on training programs on Analytical instruments for teachers, research students and to the technical staff of university and affiliated colleges and also Conducts Awareness Program for PG and UG science students of university departments as well as university affiliated colleges
