Presently, USIC is functioning with four sections viz Electrical, Printer / Projector repairing, Mechanical and Carpentry. It provides the facility of repairs and maintenance to all scientific instruments as well as customized equipment required for scientific experiment.


Printer Shop: Day to day maintenance of all type of printers and LCD projectors is done in this section. Although more than 500 printers of the university departments/ sections are also maintained under AMC.

Repairs of ; Dot matrix printers Laser printers Inkjet printers LCD projectors. Provide AMC of the printers to all University departments/sections.



Electrical section: Repairs and maintenance of all types of electrical laboratory equipment is majorly done in this section.

Repair of all type of Laboratory Electrical Equipment Magnetic Stirrer Autoclave Oven Centrifuge Heating mental Distillation plant Incubator Dimmer Laminar flow Water bath Oil bath Furnace Hot plate and electric heater They also provide support to the other section for their repairs, if they have any electrical power related issues.



Mechanical section: The mechanical section has a full-fledged workshop and mainly engaged into the fabrication of mechanical designs required for research work. These facilities are also provided to department of Technology.

Repairs all type of vacuum pump. Fabrication: Test tube stand Bakelite holders Different type of connectors. cutting, drilling, tapping, threading, shaping and fabrication of different machine parts. Fabrication work required as a support to all other sections in the repair of instruments. Machining work of all type of Teflon, aluminium, copper, mild steel, brass and acrylic materials as per the design and requirement.



Carpentry section: This is also most popular section of our department. All types of wooden work, substrate cutting, all type wooden design and fabrication part are majorly in the scope of this section
