About USIC
The University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) was started by University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1979. The purpose to start this center was to provide in-house central facilities such as 

(a) Repair and maintenance of scientific instruments
(b) Analytical instruments facility and 
(c) Conduct Workshop and training program for the University departments and affiliated college students/technical staff.

      Initially, Dr. A. S. Jambhale as a Head of USIC put a foundation stone for USIC with 11 technical/administrative staff. Since then it was continuously growing with great vision by adding new technical 
sections for repair and maintenance facility in USIC and modern analytical instruments in common facility center (CFC) to made it as a state of art facility under one roof. Now Dr. J. B. Yadav Head (I/c) USIC is running this center with same vision in progressive manner.

Our Mission:

To provide technical as well as analytical instrumentation facility to researchers/ scientific community for researcher community for the betterment of society.

 

Objective:

  •  To provide the facility of repairs and maintenance of scientific instruments.
  •  To provide customized fabrication facility required for R & D work.
  •  To provide analytical instrumentation facility to the researchers, academicians and industries.
  •  To conduct training program on repairs and maintenance of the laboratory instruments for the lab assistants/technical staff and workshops/awareness programs on analytical instruments for research students and teachers of university departments and affiliated colleges.
