About USIC The University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) was started by University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1979. The purpose to start this center was to provide in-house central facilities such as
(a) Repair and maintenance of scientific instruments (b) Analytical instruments facility and (c) Conduct Workshop and training program for the University departments and affiliated college students/technical staff.
Initially, Dr. A. S. Jambhale as a Head of USIC put a foundation stone for USIC with 11 technical/administrative staff. Since then it was continuously growing with great vision by adding new technical sections for repair and maintenance facility in USIC and modern analytical instruments in common facility center (CFC) to made it as a state of art facility under one roof. Now Dr. J. B. Yadav Head (I/c) USIC is running this center with same vision in progressive manner.
