Best Practices
- Health Centre works in two sessions, morning 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and evening 3:30pm to 6:30pm for the convenience of the students. Apart from above timing, Medical Officer stays at the campus and attends emergency at night time if any.
- Apart from general OPD, various honorary doctors deliver their services to respective faculties like Orthopedic, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Audiometry, Dentistry, psychological counselling etc. twice a week in the given time.
- Health centre is also equipped with fully automated laboratory unit, radiography unit with X- Ray & C.R.System, ECG, Ultrasound, Dental Chair and Audiometry etc .
- Every year free medical check-up is done for newly admitted students & employees. Yearly check-up camps has helped to diagnose Anaemia, undetected life style metabolic disorders like Diabetis Mellitus, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia etc
- Active participation of health centre in blood donation camps arranged by various departments at campus, creating awareness about safe blood donation practises.
- Adolescent counselling available at health centre and ladies hostel to help students to manage stress, anxiety, depression.
- Health awareness lectures, immunisation camps, anaemia detection camps are organised at hostels on various occasions.
- Health Centre has been organising lectures on Life Saving Skills that is First Aid Management and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) Training for employees and students. This has been helping them to know about Do’s & Don’ts of the First Aid at emergency situations.
- 24 X 7 health assistance is provided at various camps / competitions arranged by NSS, DSW & Sports departments at university campus.
- Health centre is member of “LOCAL MUNICIPAL CORPORATION AUTHORISED BIOMEDICAL WASTE UNIT” which collects the biomedical waste.
