Types of Manuscripts

 

Categories of Manuscripts
 

Review articles (not exceeding 6000 words, cited references to be limited to about 100 in number) are expected to survey and discuss current developments on the topic of interest. It should    be    well    focused    and    organized,    and    avoid    a    general    'textbook'    style.

Research articles (not exceeding 5000 words) report original research results of major significance. It should include an abstract, an introduction, Experimental details/methodology, Results and discussion (in subheads), conclusions, acknowledgements, references. Supporting information   or   other   electronic   information   of   the   article   will   be   sent   separately.

Research communications (not exceeding 2000 words) contain important new findings that are novel and of fairly broad interest. It should include a brief abstract, an introductory paragraph, experimental part up to conclusions. Text should NOT be broken up under subheads. It usually preliminary reports of special significance and urgency that are given expedited publications.

Research notes (less than 1000 words) are concise accounts of original research of a limited scope. It may also preliminary reports of special significance. Contributions dealing with technical advances or advances in instrumentation may be published under this research notes.
