The Centre was founded with initial financial support of Rs. 2.00 Lakhs from Shivaji University. Later in 2006 Govt. of Maharashtra sanctioned non-recurring grant of Rs. 1 corer for Building & Infrastructure. The main objective of center are: • To create research awareness among young generation in field of Maratha History and Regional History. • To extend training in source language scripts: Modi, Persian and Portuguese etc. • To build partnership with other Research Centers
