Ladies Hostel of Shivaji University was established in 1966 with capacity of 103 rooms. Hostel no. 2 was constructed in 1993 with the capacity of 116 rooms. To accommodate the increasing demand, Hostel no. 3(83 rooms) was started in 2009, the same hostel was extended in 2012 with another 20 rooms for research students. In 2019, Vidyarthini Bhavan building funded by RUSA with capacity of 52 rooms was established especially for students of earn and learn scheme. At present four hostels are providing accommodation to each post graduate student who wish to take admission in the hostel. Total 1341 students were admitted to the hostel in the academic year 2019-20. Every year hostel organizes different kinds of programmes for the overall development of the students. Hostel day is celebrated every year giving opportunity to students to participate in various competitions.
