Question 1 : Whether   I can make use of BBK Library, If I am not a registered student of the library and wish to get the information for my Research? If Yes, How?

Answer :          Yes, you can make use of BBK Library, even though you are not a registered student of the library to get the information for your Research as well as for any reason. Simply, you have to pay Rs.20/- as reference charges and you can make use of any section of the library from 10.20 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

 

Question 2 :How do I access Ph.D. or M.Phil. Theses available in the Shivaji University Library?

Answer :          You can directly visit the Theses and Dissertation collection available in the Reference Section  of Barr. Balasaheb Khardekar Knowledge Resource Center of Shivaji University. For the soft copies of Ph.D. Theses, you can visit the website http://shodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in/ where 217 Ph.D. Theses submitted to Shivaji University are available in PDF format.You can also search for the Ph.D.These of other universities on the same home page of Inflibnet Shodhganga Project. You can easily access them. If you don’t find what you are looking for, Ask a Librarian

 

Question 3 :Can I search all the reading material available at Barr. Balasaheb Khardekar Knowledge Resource Center  at one single place?

 
Answer :          A single search that includes ALL scholarly content available to users of BBK Library is not possible at this time. However you can make use of OPAC/ Web OPAC for searching the required information source. You can also make use of advanced or federated search facility available at OPAC. For searching required document, many search tools and access points have been provided. In case of difficulty or for more details, you can contact D. B. Sutar Sir, Assistant Librarian or Mr.S. R. Birje Sir, Senior Library Assistant, in the library.

Question 4 :Can I go into the stacks to browse or retrieve materials?

Answer :          Access to the stack section is permitted to all because there is open access system in the stack and text book section. But, it is available only to registered students and teachers of the library.

 

Question 5 :Does the Library provide Zerox facilities for reading material?

Answer :          Yes, the Library provide zeroxing facilities for reading material useful for readers with a charge of Re.1/- per page upto 18 copies only due to copyright issue.
