M. A. Psychology Program is offered by Shivaji University almost since its inception. However it was offered through P.G. Centers of the Colleges. The Department of Psychology was not there on the University campus.
Considering the increasing importance of the subject of Psychology, Hon Vice Chancellor Prof. Devanand Shinde took an initiative of establishing Department of Psychology on the University campus. The Department of Psychology started its work in  June 2018, with specialization of Criminal & Forensic Psychology.
