About us

M, Sc. Industrial Chemistry Course, Department of Chemistry Shivaji University was established in the Year 1992 to provide a comprehensive education that integrates theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the students to become innovative leaders in the chemical industry, capable of addressing complex challenges through sustainable practices and advanced research. The program fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and ethical responsibility, empowering students to contribute positively to society and the environment. The curriculum greatly consists of variety of courses including with the Foundation, Core and Specialization Courses in addition to Open Elective Courses. The Core Courses comprise all necessary branches of Chemistry including Physical, Organic, Inorganic, Analytical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry along with the basic concepts of Chemical Engineering. The courses are more focussed on topics related to emerging trends in Industries including Pharmaceuticals, Petroleum refining and Petrochemicals, Paint, Polymer, Dyes, Cosmetics, Perfumery, Agrochemicals, Fertilizers, Dairy, Leather, etc and provides high quality sustainable job opportunities. The success of the M.Sc.
