M. Sc. Environmental Science:
Entrance Examination:
A separate Entrance Examination will be conducted for M. Sc. Environmental Science.
Qualification:
B. Sc. with Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Statistics / Pollution / Bio-chemistry / Biotechnology /Geography / Geology / Microbiology / Electronics / Computer Science / Mathematics/Agriculture as the Principal / Subsidiary subject.
Course Structure:
- The Department has opted Credit System from the academic year 2008-09. The syllabus of M.Sc. Course is based on UGC-NET syllabus and includes professional skills in Science and Technology.
- The examination pattern followed is 80:20 pattern with separate passing heads.
- The Department caters to various learning resources including study excursion, industrial visits, Inplant industrial training, one year need based field project, demonstrations on new techniques, seminars and guest lectures.
- Field Visits: Short industrial and nature visits of Environmental importance.
- Inplant Industrial Training: One month in plant industrial training is compulsory.
- Project: The students are assigned a one year duration project based on environmental problem in the second year.
- Study Tour: A study tour of 10 days duration to industry, academic institutions and places of environmental importance is compulsory. A report of the study tour is to be submitted.
PG Diploma in Environmental Protection & Management (PGDEPM) :
Annual Examinations : Four Papers
Medium : Marathi / English
Project: A project based on environmental problem is compulsory.
Seminars: Two seminars are compulsory.
Study Tour: A study tour to industries, academic institutions and places of environmental importance is compulsory. A report of the study tour is to be submitted.
PG Diploma in Industrial Safety, Health and Environment (PGDISHE) :
- Annual Examinations : Six Papers
- In-plant training of 3 weeks is compulsory and a Report to be submitted to the Department .
- Minimum 5 Industrial Visits are compulsory.
- Project: One year compulsory Project on Industrial Safety to be completed before Theory examination .
Diploma in Industrial Safety, Health and Environment (DISHE) :
- Annual Examinations : Four Papers
- In-plant training of 3 weeks is compulsory and a Report to be submitted to the Department .
- Minimum 5 Industrial Visits are compulsory.
- Project: One year compulsory Project on Industrial Safety to be completed before Theory examination .
