Shivaji University’s Students Council of 2011-2012 was constituted on 4th
October, 2011 and the elections of the Secretary were held on Monday, the 10th
October.
The
election process for the Secretariat position of Shivaji University commenced
at 1 P.M. Hon. Vice Chancellor, Prof. N. J. Pawar; Dr. D. V. Muley, Registrar,
Dr. A.B. Rajage, Director of BCUD, Dr. B. M. Hirdekar, COE and Mr. B. S. Patil,
Finance and Accounts Officer were present during the election.
Amol
Randive, Pooja Marathe, Rajashree Lad and Sneha Kasbekas had filled their
application for the nomination of Secretary. The application of Sneha Kasbekar
was disqualified. Total 30 members voted, of which 2 voted were disqualified.
In the first round of election, Amol got 12 votes, Pooja-11 and Rajashree got
5 votes. Rajashree was eliminated in the second round. While transferring her
votes, Pooja got 1 vote. Since Amol Randive was leading in the first round, he
was elected as the Secretary in accordance with the University Law. The
election procedure was conducted by the Dr. D. K. Gaikwad, Director of
Students Welfare. Amol Randive was congratulated by Hon. Vice Chancellor.
