Two
day National Seminar on ‘Accounting the Social Sector Development’ was held
during the 1st and 2nd February,2011 under the joint collaboration of UGC-SAP-DRS-III,
Department of Economics and Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and
Inclusive Policy, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
The
Seminar was inaugurated by Professor Emeritus, D. P. Pal of Kalyani
University, West Bengal and was chaired by Prof (Dr.) N. J. Pawar, Vice
Chancellor, Shivaji University. About 34 research papers were presented in the
Seminar along with some special lectures by eminent scholars. There was a
great response from the participants. Around 150 participants from all around
the country participated in the Seminar.
The
theme of the Seminar was divided into five sub themes. These five technical
sessions were chaired by eminent Professors; Professor Bhagabat Patro (Berhampur,
Orrisa) Professor M.G. Basawraja (Mysore), Professor K. Nageswara Rao (Anantpur),
Dr.V.S. Magnale (Pune) Dr.R.G. Dandge (Kolhapur). The proceedings of the
Seminar would be published soon.
