A two
day workshop on ‘Key concepts in Political Theory’ was organized by Department
of Political Science. On 4th and 5th October 2010.The workshop was inaugurated
by Hon. Vice Chancellor, Prof. N. J. Pawar. Dr. Arjun Rajage, Director, BCUD
was the chief guest of the function. Prof. Yashwant Sumant, Pune graced the
occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Pawar appreciated the efforts of the
department of Political science to organize the workshop on the concepts in
Political Science. He said that the workshop will help teachers and students
to have in depth understanding of the contemporary concepts in Political
Science. Dr. V. P. Rasam, Head, Department of Political Science, welcomed the
guests and explained the objective behind organizing the workshop. Shri
Pandurang Bhoye the coordinator of the workshop proposed vote of thanks.
Prof.
Yashwant Sumant, Pune, Prof F. H. Bennur, Solapur, Prof. Waghmare, Aurangabad,
Dr. Prakash Pawar worked as the resource persons. Concepts such as
Environmentalism, Modernism & post modernism, Communitarianism,
Multiculturalism, and Pluralism etc. were discussed. The workshop had
remarkable response.
