Film: “Gandhi continues to inspire Prisoners,” was shown to the Post graduate students of the Humanities building

To commemorate the August kranti din, a film was shown to the Post graduate students of the humanities building on 9th August 2010. The film titled ‘Gandhi continues to inspire Prisoners’ was viewed by around 150 students .The film shows the stories of prisoners who have changed considerably due to Gandhian Philosophy. Mahatma Gandhi’s book ‘My experiments with Truth’ greatly inspired them to change their life dramatically.

The film show was followed by a discussion in which number of students participated. The students expressed keen interest in Gandhian literature and philosophy. The program was organized at the Humanities Auditorium. Dr. Bharati Patil, Co-ordinator, Centre of Gandhian Studies intiated the discussion.
