Under the lead-college activity Shahaji College organized one day workshop on
‘New Trends in Historical Writings’. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. M.
D. Lohar, Head Dept of History. Prof. Lohar elaborated different streams of
History writings in India. Principal Dr. D. R. More of Shahaji College
presided over the function. In the second session Dr. Avanish Patil delivered
talk on subaltern History and insisted the need of micro studies in History.
In the third session Dr. Amar Aadke spoke on ‘ forts in Maharashtra and
tourism development’. In the valedictory function Dr. Niranjan Kulkarni guided
the participants. Prof. Anand Giri proposed vote of thanks.
