Dr. M. L. Jadhav’s
Critical Book on O. Henry’s short stories made one more contribution to the
American Literature. The Book was released on the occasion of the UGC
sponsored National Seminar on “New Trends in Modern and Postmodern Fiction in
English”, organized by the Department of English,
Mudhoji
College, Phaltan.
In a special
Session on ‘Short Story as a Major Literary Genre,’ the book entitled The
Fictional world of O. Henty: A Critical Study by Dr. Murlidhar Jadhav was
released at the auspicious hands of the Chairperson, Prof. (Dr.) C. V.
Venugopal, Karnataka
University, Dharwad. Among other dignitaries present on the dais
were (from left to right) Prin. Dr. D. R. More, Dr. Jayaprakash Shinde, Dr. C.
V. Venugopal, Prin. M. A. Shaikh, Dr. M. L. Jadhav and Prin. Shaha of the host
college.
The book is a
major contribution in the genre American short story in particular and the
criticism on short stories in general.
