An international
conference on nanomaterials and their applications is organized jointly by the
Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics in December 2008. For this
mega event in scientific community of Shivaji
University the efforts are going on to invite Nobel Laureates in
this field of research.
The conference
will be held on 9 to 11 December 2008. In this conference fifty scientists
from abroad and thirty scientists from national laboratories are confirmed
their presence.
In this three
day conference six sessions will be held. This conference will bring together
research scholars, scientists, working in field of material science related to
defense, space science, optoelectronics, sensors, solar energy,
superconducting nanotechnology and academics. It is expected that new trends
and current research technologies would be presented in this conference.
The
organization of this conference is the outcome of tireless efforts done from
last year by honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. M. Salunkhe. Green
chemistry and nanomaterials for applications are some of new technology areas
in which work is going on in Shivaji university.
As such,
conference will lay emphasis on nano-catalyst, nano-biotechnology, nano-medicines,
nano-sensors, nano-photonics, magnetic nano structures, modeling and
simulation of nano structure, nano materials for energy system, carbon nano
tubes, nano device and nano fabrication, drug delivery system, nano
composites, bio sensors, molecular nanotechnology and functional polymers and
devices.
