Family members of Mr. V.
S. Kandekar, his son,
daughter in law and daughters and sons in law presented
the Dnyan Peeth award that Mr. V. S. Khandekar received in 1976 from Bharatiya
Dnyanpeeth. The award was presented to Dr. M. M. Salunkhe, Hon.
Vice-Chancellor of Shivaji Univeristy in the presence of DR, B. L. Munagekar
on 17th March, 2008 at V. S. Khandekar Bhasha Bhavan auditorium of
Shivaji University. This award will be kept in the V. S. Khandekar Museum of
the University along with other awards, While accepting the award Dr. Salunkhe
thanked family members of Mr. Khandekar for giving the award to the
University. Dr. Salunkhe also felicitated all family members of Mr. Khandekar
present on the occasion. Dr. Rajendra Kankariya, Registrar of the University
proposed heartly vote of thanks.
