“Mr. V. S. Khandekar was the author who continuously related
himself to the social problems and he had organic relationship with society.
Due to this intimate relations with social movements, Khandekar’s literature
acutely represents social problems faced by Maharashtra” said Prof. S. S.
Bhosale, Retired Professor of Marathi of Dr. Ambedkar Marathwada Universiy,
Aurangabad, while delivering Mr. V. S. Khandekar Memorial Lecture at V. S.
Khandekar Bhasha Bhavan on 11th April, 2008. Dr. M. M. Salunkhe,
Hon. Vice-Chancellor of the University was in Chair. Dr. Bhosle maintained
that Khandekar stood for establishment of egalitarian society and the
progressive values occupied key position in his literature.
Dr. Salunkhe in his presidential had exhorted the students to
imbibe values that were taught by Khandekar in his literature.
