Every year Shivaji University organizes Law Lecture Series. This
year the lecture series was inauguration by Shri. T. S. Singarvel, I.P.S.,
member of Maharashtra state Human Rights Commission. Dr. M. M. Salunkhe, Hon.
Vice-Chancellor of the University chaired the programme. Shri. Singaravel
spoke on ‘Gender Equality & Protection of Human Rights’. The second lecture
was organized in co-operation with Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kolhapur.
Shri. Singarel spoke on “implications of the Amendment to the Packed
Commodities Rules effective from 1st May, 2008.

Dange, Director, B.C.U.D. chaired the function. The lecture was attended by
industrialists & Traders of Kolhapur. Anand Mane, Chairman, Chamber of
Commerce, Deepak Miraje, Baban Mahajan & host of other dignitaries were
present on the occasion.
