   Introduction :

The Department was established in June 1982 and has an independent building. The built up area about 6000 sq. m. with three class rooms, two laboratories and seven independent cabins and Office.

  Facilities / Services Offered : 

 All Facultymembers have computers with internet, separate cabins, UPS backup is available,
Research students have computers with internet in common computer lab, on share basis, A good number of Books & journals are available in the Main library. . Every research student has been provided an independent table, chair & shared cupboard. At present research students are sharing common computing facility established for M.Sc (Statistics) students.
  Extension Services :
Faculty members are involved in a number of extension activities related to hostel, NSS etc
  Consultancy Services :

Faculty members are active in extending consultancy services in data analysis for researchers and faculty members of various post graduate departments.
