Profile |
The Department of Russian (Now
Dept. of Foreign Languages) was established
in August, 1970. The Department has
a well equipped
air conditioned language laboratory (25 setter), latest
Audio-visual equipments. The Department also
maintains a good library, consisting of more than three thousand books in Russian/German/Japanese.
These Text-books, Dictionaries and literature has
been received ex-gratis from the erstwhile USSR
Government and Germany.

The Departmental staff is actively engaged in
producing study material in Foreign Languages,
like educational charts/tables, computerised
notes, useful in teaching process for various
courses of Foreign languages. The staff is also
engaged in Research work by publishing papers /
articles on Russian language and Literature. The
staff is also participating in National/
International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops
etc.
The
Department is actively engaged in producing study

year. The Department arranges Meetings,
Discussions, Get-togethers and special lectures on
Russian Language, German Language, Culture and
civilization for the benefit of teachers and
students of Foreign languages.
